Your Odoo website can take an order but not the money, so a customer in Egypt finishes a checkout and then pays by bank transfer that somebody reconciles by hand three days later — if they do not abandon the order first.
A customer pays by card, Paymob confirms it back to Odoo automatically, and the sales order and invoice reconcile without anyone retyping a reference.
Separate from the list above, which is what you supply before it starts. A missing prerequisite stops the work beginning; a missing one of these stalls it halfway, which is the one that turns a fixed price into an argument.

No. The customer is taken to Paymob’s hosted page, pays there, and Odoo is told the result. Your server never sees a card number, which is the main reason to do it this way.
The order stays unconfirmed. We test that deliberately, because the expensive failure mode is an order that confirms itself on a payment that never completed.
Not as it stands. Paymob has to reach your instance to confirm a payment, so there has to be a public HTTPS endpoint. If there is not, say so early and we will tell you what it would take.
Yes. It is bought into your own Odoo account and it keeps working if you never speak to us again.
