No. SMDR is a record of calls that have already happened — it is one-way, and this package covers call history and follow-up. Click-to-dial is a different integration and we would rather say so now than after you have paid.
No. SMDR carries no audio and this package gives no access to recordings.
A record arrives when a call ends, usually within seconds. It is not a live call state and there is no screen pop.
Nothing is lost. The listener writes each record to a local spool and removes it only once Odoo confirms it is stored, so an outage costs delay. That is the reason there is a listener rather than a direct connection.
Because the PBX dials out to it over raw TCP and something has to hold that socket. It is small — a container or a systemd service — and it can share a machine you already have.
