Every released version, what changed in it, and the date it went out. This page is generated from the module’s own changelog, which is the same file shipped inside barcode_label_printing and rendered on its Odoo Apps Store listing.
Listing price changed. The current price is on the product page.
18.0.1.0.1
Changed
The store listing now shows the product. 3 screenshots taken from a running Odoo 18, each captioned with what it shows.
Fixed
The buyer who installed the module could not reach the layouts. Nobody was placed in Label Designer on install, and the Configuration menu that holds Label Templates is gated on that group. So the app opened with a single Print Labels entry and no route to the layout designer - the part of the product the buyer paid for. The group sits in a hidden category, so it is not even a checkbox on the user form unless developer mode is on, which leaves no way to grant it from the UI. base.user_admin now joins Label Designer on install.
Found by installing the module on a clean Odoo 18 database and opening the app as a buyer would.
Existing installations are not retrofitted by an upgrade. base.user_admin is a noupdate record in Odoo's own base module, so -u deliberately skips writes to it. Anyone already on 18.0.1.0.0 must grant the group once by hand, with developer mode on: Settings > Users > (your user) > Label Designer.
18.0.1.0.0
Notes
First public release.
Added
product.label.template - a label layout: page type, sheet size, grid, margins and gaps in millimetres, or a single label size for a continuous roll.
Live computation of the resulting label size and labels-per-page, with a validation that refuses a grid which cannot physically fit on the page.
Per-template content control: product name, internal reference, variant attributes, sales price, company name, barcode with or without its number, and a fixed line of text - each with its own font size.
Barcode symbology selection with an Automatic mode that uses EAN-13 only for genuinely valid thirteen-digit codes and Code 128 otherwise.
Optional pricelist per template, so retail and trade labels are two templates rather than two spreadsheets.
product.label.print wizard: products with per-product quantities, a live label and page count, and a Start at Label offset so part-used sheets can be reused.
An action-menu entry on product and product-variant lists, prefilled from the current selection.
Print a Test Sheet on the template form.
Continuous-roll printing on a page sized to the label, via a paper format created and kept in step with the template.
Six shipped layouts covering the commonest sheet and roll stationery, each annotated with the paper it matches.
A Label Designer group, separating everyday printing from changing a layout for everybody.
